蔡英文今天由立委李俊俋陪同參訪嘉義市檜意森活村，除了瞭解地方產業發展現況外，並與在地青年座談，聽取在地青年的建言與期待，並一一回應。
李俊俋表示，嘉義市是個有歷史的城市，如何將歷史轉化為城市特色，吸引更多遊客或青年返鄉，攸關嘉義市的未來發展，希望中央、地方以及民間能集思廣益，共同努力讓嘉義榮景再現。
在地青年紛紛提出對地方產業、文化、創意、教育、創業等看法，甚至也關心基層公務人員薪資，並提出效法新加坡、以高薪杜絕貪污等建言。
蔡英文表示，其實她跟大家的感受是一樣的，有時也會有種挫折感，當面對集體挫折的時候，要設法解決、改變，而改變需要領導人、需要團隊，最重要的是需要大家在一起。
她說，一個社會需要進行重大改革，是人民給出的氛圍，是因為人民的感受所引起，她並鼓勵年輕人應勇於表達、勇於嘗試、勇於承擔。
蔡英文指出，台灣青年創業有部分受到既有教育與文化影響，導致青年害怕失敗而裹足不前，她以國外創業成功比例只有5%為例，鼓勵年輕人「失敗一次，就離成功近了一步」。
她說，面對青年創業，政府的責任是要替青年降低風險、分擔風險、管控風險，適時提供資源，從旁協助；此外，整個資本市場結構也應該改變，讓更多的資助者願意投入。1040821
